Joinery

Joinery – the precise fitting together of timber using mortise & tenon, dovetail, and housed joints – is the core of all our Timber Frames.

All of our frames are hand-cut, using local hemlock and pine. The timbers are expertly laid out, checked, and cut by our craftsmen, drawing on years of experience and knowledge every step of the way. After being cut, each timber is hand-chiseled with care, and the end grain is waxed with end seal.
