Our insulated panels provide an excellent monolithic envelope for our frames; they are strong and quiet and provide superior insulation value.
Nailbase Panels
Nailbase Panels are best used in applications where the frame has a wood interior finish (shiplap, v-match, etc.). in these cases, only the exterior layer of sheathing is needed. Our Nailbase panels have foam bonded to Zip System (tm.) sheathing which allows for a fast weather tight, and airtight insulated structure.
Stress Skin Panels
Our stress skin panels are similar to Our Nailbase; The biggest difference is that the stress skin panels have an additional layer of OSB, which provides a solid surface for sheetrock.
The Insulation Foam
We use polyisocyanurate foam. This type of foam provides the highest R- value per inch (R-7 per inch), producing a thin profile panel.
When Kennebec Timber Framing designs your frame, we can design the panels to include all the door and window rough opening cutouts. This will save you time and money by eliminating field cutting the panels.
