Insulated Panels
Insulated panels sheath, insulate, and enclose the timber frame, providing a monolithic envelope of insulation for comfort and reduced heating costs.
Our Panels – We offer two types of panels to enclose your frame.
|
Nailbase PanelsOur nailbase panels are a good choice when a frame is first sheathed with pine/cedar shiplap ,v-match or other solid boarding. A nailbase panel has osb adhered to the exterior and foam on its interior. |
|
Stress skin panelsOur stress skin panels are applied directly to a frame or over solid sheeting. |
The Foam
We use polyisocyanurate foam. This type of foam provides the highest R- value per inch (R-7 per inch) producing a thin profile panel.
When Kennebec Timber Framing designs your frame, we can design the panels to include all the door and window rough opening cutouts. This will save you time and money by eliminating field cutting the panels.
